Programs of Boys Town Jerusalem
Students of Boys Town Jerusalem participate in a wide variety of programs on campus and as part their curriculum.
Projects from the Comprehensive Interdisciplinary Technology (CIT) Program Curiosity and a passion for research are common traits among the high school students who devise the projects in the CIT program of Boys Town’s Harry Beren Institute of Torah and Technology. Some of their student projects have practical application and others are purely theoretical, but all represent years of intense study. Each year, some of these projects are chosen to represent Boys Town at the National Exhibit of Technology in the Davidson Institute for Science of the prestigious Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot. |

College of Applied Engineering The College of Applied Engineering (CAE) was established nearly four decades ago in cooperation with the Israel Defense Forces, to train practical engineers for army service. IDF regulations permit a percentage of post-high-school young men who are preparing for professions that are important to the military to defer their recruitment and spend two years in high-level study before becoming soldiers. Projects from the College of Applied Engineering (CAE) Program In order to receive an Associate Engineer degree in mechanical engineering or electronics from Boys Town’s College of Applied Engineering, students must pass written examinations given by Israel’s Ministry of Education, along with presenting an original project for approval by a government panel of engineers. Each project represents the student’s thorough knowledge and understanding of the relevant disciplines. The young engineers must also be extremely proficient in the area of computer science, as they are responsible for writing the entire program for their projects. |

Naaleh Since 2001, Boys Town has served as the first home in Israel for some of the country’s newest citizens -- young immigrants from France and the former Soviet Union. These young men live and study at BTJ within the framework of the Jewish Agency's Naaleh program, which enables teenagers to make aliyah before -- or without -- their parents. Read more on Naaleh.
Technology Programs Boys Town Jerusalem is the only high school in Israel to be a CISCO Regional Academy...and our students outperform many college and post-college students elsewhere. Find more on Cisco and Boys Town |
